17/11/2006 - Some fantastic results over the last few weeks have put the GHRFC teams in strong positions in their respective leagues. The 1st XV have found themselves in 4th place in Kent 1 (P6W4L2) having earned a good victory down at the Sheppey "ditch" two weeks ago. The 2nd XV are third from bottom in what has proved to be an extremely difficult league and gained a much needed walk over on the weekend. The 3rd XV are enjoying themselves in the hop half of their kent met league with 2 wins, 2 losses and a w/o. Both student sides are experiencing success and 1st XV find themselves in 3rd place in SE 1A after a well fought battle against RUMS on wednesday at the Griffin (P6W4L2). The 2nd XV are 4th in their enormous league with a P4W3L1 record. continuous hard work and promising rugby will allow several teams to push for promotion!!
26/09/2006 - A disappointing start to the season left the 1st and 2nd XV losing with the 3s receiving the points thanks to a walkover. Some positive signs with numbers at training up by a considerable amount and if it continues in this "vein" then the victories will be rolling in!! Freshers trials tomorrow so lets get as many down as possible!
13/07/2006 - The season starts in just over 2 months. START GETTING FIT! NO EXCUSES.
13/07/2006 - I'm back! Many apologies for the lack of recent news roll, but with the end of the rugby season gossip has dried up. Congrats to Christian and George on their marriage. Much fun was had by all who attended.

30/01/2006 - With a change in fortunes both the 1's and 2's enjoyed victory at HOP. The 1's defeated Gillingham Anchorians 20-13 with tries from Gretton, Berry and Wright. Trotter's 2's slammed Sidcup 43-0. It shows what good turnout at training and matchdays can do. Long may it continue!
24/01/2006 - In a disappointing weekend both the 1's and 2's lost away in their respective league fixtures. However, after a good training session last night eyes now move to Bucks Chilts tomorrow.
16/01/2006 - With the 1's having a week off, the 2's and 3's both competed for league honours. Unfortuantely, both teams lost in very enjoyable games. The 3's lost 20-17 in a most absorbing encounter. All to training tonight.
11/01/2006 - With renewed access, the news roll begins a new year! On Saturday the 1's were victorious at home to Brockleians. Both the 2's and 3's lost. Saturday sees the 2's and 3's playing, so all to make themselves available.
29/11/2005 - Another mixed weekend for the club. With RUMS crying off on Friday, this left the 2's as the senior side. They went down 31-29 in a very close encounter, with the oppo scoring a goal in the last minute. The 3's won 42-17 and on Friday night the Penguin's easily defeated Blackheath Vet's. Oldest is certainly best!
05/11/2005 - This weekend saw the 2's become the senior side as the 1's have a week off. Another 1 point victory, 32-31, gave Trot's the 2nd win in 2 weeks. Unfortunately, the 3's lost in a nailbiter. All to training on Monday for early sprint training and tour briefing.
05/11/2005 - Last Saturday saw a successful weekend for the club. The 1's were victorius ina nailbiting epic against top of the table Whitstable. The 2's oppo called of to give Trot's boy the point. Tom Goddard's 3's drew and the Vets went down to Cobham.
27/10/2005 - The 1's suffered away at Becc's with a weakened team but the 2's picked up maximum points at home to Gravesend. The combined Vets/OC's team lost against Cobham. Best of luck to all at the weekend.
12/10/2005 - The Saturday 1's enjoyed a tense victory of New Ash Green, 21-14, with Challacombe returning to score a try. The 2nd XV's match was cancelled by the opposition 2 hours before KO. The Vets also lost at Cobham.
25/09/2005 - Unfortunately both the 1's and 2's lost at home on Saturday. With a weakened back row, the 1's pack was out muscled and despite fine tackling found a lack of scrum ball to be crucial. The 2's were very unlucky to lose 10-8 after leading 8-0 with only a few minutes remaining. The BBQ and sumo suits were a resounding success.
15/09/2005 - Committee Meeting on Tuesday 20th September in the usual place at 6.30pm. Check out the Scanlan Bursary link.

03/05/2005 - Sunday saw the 1's lose dissapointingly in the semi-final of the Kent Vase. The lash on the night before played a heavy price with the 1st XV down 12-0 after 5 mins. Time for the club to have a long rest over the summer.
03/05/2005 - A most memorable final weekend for the club. Friday evening witnessed the AGM. Congratulations go out to Rhys, Simon Trotter, Tom Goddard, Iain, Ben Diggans and the rest of the committee. A great time in Guy's bar was had by all. HOP hosted a fine festival of rugby on Saturday with the Past winning in a very close contest and the Penguins remaining unbeaten in the Paul Scanlan Cup. Many thanks to the Captains for fielding such competitive teams. The Ball in the evening ran famously.
15/04/2005 - The last league fixture of the season saw Guy's beat Beccehaminans 42-20, with some fabulous rugby to boot! The post match lash performance was legendary, with victory in all areas.
03/04/2005 - An extremely close contest at HOP saw the 1's narrowly beat Park House 38-35, with Brigstocke slotted a last gasp penalty. We had been 14 points up with 9 minutes to go, but poor tackling allowed the oppo to draw level. Training is on tomorrow evening.
29/03/2005 - TV Stars! The club had a good showing on the BBC's Rugby Special. We may have started a national ginning circus! Catch the repeat Wednesday lunchtime at 1.40pm.
29/03/2005 - With the UH campaign over, attention now turns back to the League. All three sides have a fixture this Saturday, so everyone to training this Thursday night.

08/03/2005 - COMMITTEE MEETING TONIGHT. 6pm USUAL PLACE.
08/03/2005 - Another glorious weekend for Guy's rugby, with Iain's 2nd XV beating Blackheath 22-17. Plenty of great individual performances to boot. The 3's oppo cancelled so a walkover for them. On Sunday, the 1's travelled to Gravesend to beat Old Gravesendian's 20-13 to progress to the Quarter Finals of the Kent Vase. Training is compulsory all this week.
02/03/2005 - A superb 81-0 drubbing of St. Georges by the 2nd XV certainly taught them a lesson. 4 tries from Spud and plenty of conversions from Brigstocke didnt give the south Londoners much hope. On another note, a victory from ICSM 1's means that we will almost certainly meet them in the 1st XV final. All to training tomorrow night.
27/02/2005 - The UH season moved on with the 2nd XV semi-final on Wednesday. The 1's also have a round-robin game against Barts. ALL to training tomorrow, start getting the fever!
27/02/2005 - With the 1st XV game cancelled, all eyes turn to the 2's and 3's. They have mixed fortunes with Iain's men losing in a close contest to Beckenham, but the Mighty 3's enjoy a fine victory.
21/02/2005 - The 1st XV continue their winning ways with victory over Sheppey RFC at HOP. The 34-19 scoreline was a fair reflection of the match, as Guy's continue their promotion campaign. All to training this evening in preparation for the UH game vs Barts on Wednesday.
17/02/2005 - The Guy's UH machine marches on with another win against a strong and well drilled George's side. Guy's were 21-0 up only for the Tooting team to soldier back to 21-19. A catch and drive from the lineout, and another superb conversion from Gretton made the game safe. Many points to work on in training.
14/02/2005 - Another superb win against King's in the final BUSA fixture of the season with four tries from Morgan. GKT stay up and KCL get relegated. On Saturday Wilson's band of brother lost at home in a close match. Everyone to training this evening!
07/02/2005 - A quiet weekend for the club, save for the Student 2's who played away at Colchester on Sunday. Reinforced with some experienced players they mocked Essex 66-0 with 12 tries being run in. On another note, terrible shame about the England result.
31/01/2005 - Great Wednesday performances from both the Student teams as the 1's beat Chichester in a relegation battle and the 2's mauled Georges 2's. Lash was immense after the game.
31/01/2005 - A thoroughly disappointing weekend for all at GHRFC. The 1's lost away at Sittingbourne, we need to win all the remaining games to have a chance of going up. The 2's oppo did not turn up and the 3's lost at HOP. All to training this evening and Thursday to put in the hard yards.
24/01/2005 - Another fantastic weekend for the club, with impressive victories for both the 1st and 3rd teams. The 1's defeated Cranbrook by 46-3, with a hatrick from Whyte. Tries came from Kennedy, Robinson, Jenkins and a brace from Whyte. The sets us up tremendously well for the rest of the campaign! Unfortuantely the GKT 2nd team lose away at Kent. Promotion will now be tough work. Training tonight, go and run off the hangover!
17/01/2005 - Sunday saw a superb 15-12 victory against Gillingham in the 1st round of the Kent Vase. Tries from Jenkins, Tiffin, and Turner sealed the victory. Disappointing results from the 2's and 3's as bith teams lose heavily in their respective leagues.
09/01/2005 - The White Cliffs of Dover were painted blue and gold yesterday with a magnificent win against runaway league leaders Dover. Guy's remain the only team in Kent to have defeated Dover all season. Twice indeed! Tries from Eggleton, Tiffin and skipper Davies saw the Oldest Club in the World rack up 23 points to Dover's 18. A fantastic night in Slug and Belushi's followed.
22/12/2004 - A successful day on Saturday. Iain's 2nd XV notched up a fine victory at home, whilst the 3's lost narrowly by 2 points. The Vets also achieved their first win of the season. The Christmas dinner was a fine success. Thanks to Belushi's for some excellent cuisine, and for those tolerant chaps over at the Grapes. May I wish everyone a merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
13/12/2004 - Another cracking win for the 1's at home to Askeans. Shame we missed out on the 50 points. The 3's and 4's both went down fighting. No training this week, but everyone to the Xmas dinner on Saturday. All that remains to be said is, "BRING ON THE DANCING BOYS!"
06/12/2004 - The 1's return to winning ways, with a 48-35 win against Park House. Winning margin should have been more, but the home team had a superb kicker armed with radar guided boots. 2's lost at home. They go up against Bart's this Sat, so everyone make themselves available for Iain.
02/12/2004 - Narrow 15-16 away loss to top of the table Bucks Chilterns. Two tries from Waddington and one from Morgan ensured the game had a nail-biting finsh. The 2's also narrowly went down by one score to Kent 2's. Training this evening at HOP.
23/11/2004 - COMMITTEE MEETING ON THIS EVENING. Usual place, 6.00pm start.
22/11/2004 - An interesting weekend for the club. The 1st XV lose for the second week in a row, 21-15 to Becc's. The 2's tour to Nottingham appears to have been entertaining. What goes on tour, stays on tour.
15/11/2004 - The 1st XV lose 15-13 in a bitterly fought match away at Askeans. The pie-factor got the better of us. Iain's 2nd XV also lose o Charlton Park, 15-22. All to attend training this evening.

02/11/2004 - Huge fixture tomorrow for the Student 1st's away against Chichester. Definetely a must win game. Ed's boys go up against UCL in what promises to be a fierce battle.
26/10/2004 - The Student XV's are both playing at home tomorrow with Pete's men looking for their first win of the season. Any support would be most welcome. COMMITTEE MEETING TONIGHT.
26/10/2004 - The 1's draw 12-12 away from home to Cranbrook in a game that was played in terrible conditions and could have gone either way. The 2's and 3's both lost. The post match lash was corking with some freshers making their first trip to our favourite club on Old Street.
22/10/2004 - Pete's 1st XV lose at home to Imperial 14-26. The scoreline does not reflect the game at all, with GKT putting in a fine performance. A poor first 20 minutes let us down. Ed's 2's begin their season with a fantastic 34-0 victory. Random buys was a reesounding success!
18/10/2004 - With no fixture for the 1st XV, Iain's men lead the way with a fine 31-28 victory over Westcombe Park. The Mighty 3's were unfortuantely unable to capatalise on last weeks victory and went down fighting. Training this week will be on TUESDAY and Thursday.
11/10/2004 - Sunday saw the UH 7's down at HOP. The GKT teams followed the usual form of getting lashed on the Saturday night and feeling the effects the next day. However, stern words from captain Kennedy encouraged Guy's 1st's into the final where they lost against Imperial. However, a small hardcore had hair of the dog and were in fine form.
11/10/2004 - 1's put in a poor performance and lose at home against Sittingbourne. Much better required for Cranbrook. Iain's men also suffer defeat and still look for their first win. The Mighty 3's lead the way with a fine victory. Post match lash was legendary! Why the long face?
